The West Virginia University Mountaineer football squad held their annual Gold Blue Game on this past Friday, April 30, 2010 in Morgantown. I had a chance to attend the events prior to the scrimmage and was able to meet many former WVU players as over 150 were in attendance. Notables were Pat White, Rasheed Marshall (picture right), Quincy Wilson, Aaron Beasley, West Turner, Major Harris, Renaldo Turnbull, Pat Randolph, Vaughn Rivers and many more.
Preceding the game, there was a fan gathering and autograph signing event next to the Ronald MacDonald House along with activities for the kids. The events for the evening started out with the Old Timers game, followed by the Iron Mountaineer Awards and the Nickolick award ceremonies... then the main event; the spring scrimmage.
Check out all of the coverage at BlueGoldNews.com including interviews with Noel Devine, Matt Lindamood (Iron Mountaineer and Nickolich award winner), Rasheed Marshall, Darwin Cook, Steve Dunlap, Coley White, along with Old Timers highlights and Scrimmage highlights.
